Her Solitude Echoes with The Passing of Time

She sits languishing in her own company joined only by the characters in the pages of her books.

She chooses to block out the ticking of the clocks around her as they count down the seconds of time.

All is still in her world, nothing moves and noting changes. If only she could stop the hands spinning round the clock face, silence the chimes of the passing hours and be rid of the incessant ‘thunk thunk thunk’ of the heavy swinging pendulums passing of times
